Pebax catheter

Pebax医用导管

Pebax block polyetheramide elastomer products are engineering polymers that are plasticizer-free thermoplastic elastomers. The product has a fairly wide range of hardness and good resilience, easy processing properties and properties of polyamide products, and its remarkable processing properties make this product an ideal material for production parts: Excellent flexibility/softness (range Wide, good hand and touch);
Excellent low temperature impact resistance; very good kinetic properties due to low hysteresis; little change in properties between -40°C to +80°C, no hardening at low temperatures; good for most chemicals Anti-corrosion effect, excellent resistance to aging and sun exposure.
application:
Pebax products have a wide range of applications due to their many properties.
Pebax high-tech polymer was developed by researchers from Arkema in France 25 years ago. Since then, it has continuously improved and has become the best choice for plastic equipment manufacturers in many countries. Widely used in medical Pebax catheter and other convenience.
Low temperature impact resistance
Pebax catheters are known to have good elasticity, even at extremely low temperatures, resulting in their strong impact properties. Impact testing determines the energy required to deform and destroy a material or structure under high-speed deformation. The impact force can be measured thanks to some methods, but the more accepted technique by Pebax is the Izod or Charpy test. The energy required to break the material is calculated by calculating the difference between the energy of the pendulum before and after the impact. Testing can be performed at both room temperature and low temperature, using samples of various geometries and with varying notch types. Regardless of which method is available, Pebax materials exhibit excellent impact resistance at room and low temperature conditions.
Processability
Pebax has strong processability in every major thermoplastic processing technology, primarily injection molding and extrusion (cast film, blown film, sheet, tube, etc.). Depending on the selected Pebax grade and injection molding conditions, Pebax shrinkage typically varies from 0.5 %到1.5% . Compared to other thermoplastic elastomers, especially TPU, the rheological behavior of Pebax allows a wider range of processing temperatures. Pebax can be injected into extremely thin parts, typically as small as 0.8 mm. It also enables short cycle times, high recyclability and accurate dimensional controllability.
